Job summary

• Proven track record of achieving production KPIs and continuous improvement

• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles
• Ability to cover varying shifts as needed

We're looking for an experienced Production Area Manager to join our Sydney Operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll inspire teams, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in delivering operational performance in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a medium-sized production team, ensuring daily production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll coach and develop Team Leaders, champion a positive safety culture, and work collaboratively across Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics and People & Capability.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading, coaching and developing Team Leaders and production teams

• Leadership experience within FMCG manufacturing or a similar production environment
• Strong people management and coaching skills
• Experience managing production KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and Workplace Health & Safety
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles (highly regarded)
• The flexibility to support operations across varying shifts when required
