Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd in Newman, WA seeks a Product Support Advisor to deliver on-site high-level technical support for Liebherr mining equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.

You will mentor and guide maintenance teams, collaborate with Liebherr's technical support, and represent Liebherr professionally on site in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mobile plant or related field.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Strong customer-focused approach with mentoring capability.

• Based at Newman Ops (BHP)
• 8/6 Roster (Tuesday to Tuesday)
• Days Only | 12 Hour Shifts

The Product Support Advisor (PSA) is responsible for the provision of high level technical support to Customers on site and as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site technical expert, providing high-level support and advice to customers on Liebherr mining equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues to maximise machine performance and minimise downtime.
• Work closely with Liebherr’s Technical support departments to facilitate the timely resolution of technical, system and component faults and failures.
• Build strong customer relationships by delivering practical solutions, technical guidance and exceptional service on site.
• Mentor apprentices, tradespeople and maintenance teams while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualification in Mobile Plant, Diesel Fitting, Mechanical, Fabrication, Auto Electrical or High Voltage Electrical, with strong experience supporting mining equipment in the field.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, delivering safe and effective solutions in demanding site environments.
• Strong technical capability with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and specifications, and provide practical recommendations to customers and maintenance teams.
• A customer-focused approach, with the confidence to build relationships, mentor others, share technical knowledge and represent Liebherr professionally on site.
• The ability to provide accurate and timely advice.
• Attention to detail when providing feedback / reports to internal stakeholders or the customer.
