Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company delivering medication management solutions across Australia and New Zealand. As a Product Specialist for the BD Pyxis portfolio, you will partner with Account Managers and healthcare providers to drive adoption and demonstrate value.

In this highly visible role, you'll conduct product demonstrations, trainings and evaluations, build relationships with pharmacy and clinical stakeholders, and travel regularly to support customers across ANZ.

As a Product Specialist within our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business, you’ll be the subject matter expert for our BD Pyxis™ portfolio, partnering closely with Account Managers, customers and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative automated dispensing solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a highly visible role where you’ll support both existing and prospective customers, demonstrate the value of our technology, provide product expertise throughout the sales process and help drive growth across the portfolio. With regular travel and customer engagement, you’ll spend time understanding healthcare challenges firsthand and helping hospitals realise the full value of our solutions.

Your Day-to-Day

As the product expert for BD Pyxis™, you’ll work closely with healthcare providers and internal teams to support the successful adoption and growth of our automated dispensing solutions. From customer presentations and product demonstrations through to training, validations and commercial support, no two days will look the same.

• Act as the technical and commercial specialist for the BD Pyxis™ portfolio across ANZ
• Partner with Account Managers to identify opportunities and support customer engagement activities
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, evaluations and validations with prospective customers
• Build trusted relationships with pharmacy, nursing and healthcare stakeholders across hospital environments
• Deliver product training and education for customers and internal teams
• Support achievement of sales and market growth objectives across the dispensing portfolio
• Gather customer insights, market intelligence and competitor information to identify opportunities and shape future strategies
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing and Sales teams to support go-to-market initiatives
• Represent BD at conferences, exhibitions and industry events
• Ensure Salesforce and sales activity documentation is maintained in line with business requirements
• Provide feedback from the field to support continuous improvement and portfolio growth

About You

You’re a relationship builder who enjoys engaging with customers, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how technology can improve healthcare delivery. You’re confident presenting to stakeholders, comfortable working autonomously and motivated by helping customers achieve meaningful outcomes.

• Experience within healthcare, medical technology, clinical support, capital equipment or healthcare solutions environments
• Previous Product Specialist, Clinical Specialist, Applications Specialist or customer-facing commercial experience is highly regarded OR
• A clinical nursing background in ICU, CCU, ED and Anaesthetics
• Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to influence and build credibility with a broad range of healthcare professionals
• Commercially minded with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with healthcare technology, automation or medication management solutions would be advantageous
• Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Business, Marketing, Health Sciences or a related discipline
• A willingness to travel regularly throughout Australia and New Zealand
