Job summary

Task Recruitment represents a global OEM in Brisbane seeking an experienced Product Service Engineer to deliver Level 2 and Level 3 support for a Mining Operational Technology suite.

Based in the Brisbane CBD, you’ll collaborate with engineering teams, perform root-cause analysis, and assist with NPI/CPI activities while traveling to mine sites on a 12-month contract with strong extension prospects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Mining Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Experience providing Level 2 & Level 3 technical support for enterprise software, industrial systems or Operational Technology solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across software, hardware and networking.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative approach and a passion for solving complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Level 2 & 3 technical support for a globally deployed Mining Operational Technology suite.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex software, hardware and networking issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and work closely with Product Development teams to deliver permanent solutions.
• Act as the technical liaison between customers, dealers, implementation teams and engineering.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and product validation activities.
• Support software upgrades, product releases and ongoing product enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with customers, dealers and internal engineering teams while sharing technical knowledge across the global support organisation.
• Travel to customer mine sites to investigate complex technical issues and support product deployments.

Our client is a global OEM and recognised leader in mining equipment, construction equipment, power systems and digital technology solutions. Their Brisbane-based Product Development Centre of Excellence develops advanced Mining Operational Technology (OT) that helps mining companies around the world improve safety, productivity and operational performance.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Product Service Engineer to provide advanced Level 2 & 3 support for a high-precision GNSS-based machine guidance module within a globally deployed Mining Operational Technology suite.

This mission-critical module delivers real-time positioning, material tracking, production monitoring and operator guidance for surface mining equipment, helping mining companies maximise productivity and optimise material movement across large-scale mining operations.

Reporting to a Brisbane-based Team Leader, you'll join a collaborative team of seven Product Service Engineers across Australia and the United States. Working closely with Product Development, Engineering and implementation teams, you'll investigate complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis and help drive continuous product improvement.

This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong possibility of multiple extensions or conversion to a permanent position.
