Job summary

Mine Site Technologies Pty Ltd – Fortitude Valley QLD is seeking a Product Owner for the HELIX Platform & Ecosystem. You will drive the day-to-day execution of the HELIX roadmap, translating customer needs into well-defined requirements and maintaining a high-quality backlog.

You will collaborate across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery and Customer Success to ensure successful delivery of new platform capabilities and continuous product improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with backlog management and user story development.
• Strong Agile delivery experience across software products or SaaS.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the HELIX product backlog and ensure items are defined and ready for development.
• Translate customer needs into epics, features and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate release planning and cross-functional delivery activities across teams.
• Support platform capabilities across cloud services, APIs, integrations, analytics and edge tech.
• Capture and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Delivery and Support to remove blockers.

Product Owner - HELIX Platform & Ecosystem

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Komatsu and part of Mining Digital Solutions, we design, develop and support mission-critical technologies used at more than 300 mine sites worldwide.

We're looking for a Product Owner – HELIX Platform & Ecosystem to join our Product Management team and help define the future of connected underground mining through innovative software, data and digital solutions.

About the role

Reporting to the HELIX Platform & Solutions Manager, you'll be responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of the HELIX product roadmap. Working across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery and Customer Success teams, you'll translate customer and business needs into well-defined product requirements, maintain a high-quality backlog, coordinate releases and ensure successful delivery of new platform capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborating across technical and commercial teams while building capability in modern software product management.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and maintain the HELIX product backlog, ensuring work is prioritised, clearly defined and ready for development.


• Translate customer needs into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.


• Coordinate release planning, product readiness and cross-functional delivery activities.


• Support the delivery of platform capabilities across cloud services, APIs, integrations, analytics and edge technologies.


• Capture and analyse customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement.


• Work closely with Engineering, QA, Delivery and Support teams to remove delivery barriers and manage dependencies.


• Maintain high-quality product documentation, release notes and enablement material.


• Use modern product management practices and AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, documentation and delivery outcomes.

About you

You'll be an organised and collaborative product professional who enjoys solving customer problems and bringing clarity to complex technical initiatives.

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Associate Product Manager or similar role.


• Experience working with software products, SaaS platforms or enterprise applications.


• Strong skills in backlog management, requirements gathering and user story development.


• Experience working with Agile delivery teams.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• The ability to balance customer value, business priorities and technical constraints.


• Exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, data platforms or systems integration will be highly regarded.


• Experience in mining, industrial technology or operational technology is desirable but not essential.
