Job summary

Aristocrat Leisure Limited is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to ensure our gaming software meets regulatory and quality standards. You will work with a dynamic team to deliver robust submission packages and support the Product Compliance Submissions group.

You will perform software analysis, sign binaries, validate RTP and volatility calculations, and maintain accurate documentation across development and production environments. Strong Linux and C++ knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 1+ years of QA testing in a client/server environment.
• Experience creating test cases and scripts from Functional Specifications or Business Rules.
• Experience with slot machines, peripherals, and related hardware/software.
• Proficient in test automation techniques and tools including proprietary slot OS tools and emulation tools.
• Strong Linux skills and knowledge of C++.
• Familiarity with data query and analysis techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Deliver submission packages within a strict turnaround time.
• Perform software analysis to develop efficient submission plans.
• Compile and sign source code to build signed software binary images.
• Verify software meets regulatory RTP percentages and volatility through code and math calculations.
• Ensure game submission helpscreens meet regulatory requirements.
• Run and document signature calculations for algorithms like Gat and Sha1.
• Build CSV files and concatenated bin images.
• Review product documentation for accuracy and communicate discrepancies.
• Ensure all associated software is accounted for, packaged, and submitted accurately.
• Analyze ECOs and Master Item Parts for inconsistencies.
• Build emulation drives to support reel strip and testing.
• Generate game builds on production media for debug and production environments.
• Boot game software on compatible cabinets to verify compilation and signing.
• Drive down withdrawal activities through test case analysis against regulatory and quality standards.
• Communicate issues and bugs found in game software or documentation to relevant teams.
• Create and Maintain software in the Copy Protection System.
• Review and prepare tradeshow games and medias.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance testing in a client/server environment.
• Demonstrable experience in accomplishing test cases and scripts from Functional Specifications or Business Rules.
• Experienced with slot machines, accounting systems, peripherals, progressive controls, and related hardware/software.
• Proficient in test automation techniques and tools such as proprietary slot OS tools/routines and emulation tools.
• Solid skills in using Linux, programming various media types, and understanding C++.
• Familiarity with data query and analysis techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
• Ability to readily adapt to changing business needs and acquire new skills and knowledge as required.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
