Saab Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Product Owner to join our Systems Delivery Group. You will maximise product value, act as the customer advocate, and align business with development teams in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with systems engineering and software teams to prioritise work, define scope, and ensure delivery of complex, safety‑critical software projects for defence and security sectors. Hybrid work options available in Australia.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications (bachelor’s degree) in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience in Systems Engineering for software-intensive systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and ASDEFCON context is desirable.
• Proficiency with systems engineering software tools and simulation environments.

Responsabilités

• Maximise the value of the product as part of an agile team.
• Act as primary customer advocate, connecting business and development teams.
• Prioritise module and component development activities with the software team.
• Define in-scope vs out-of-scope functionality with system-wide impact insight.
• Coordinate with systems engineering and software teams for smooth delivery.
• Communicate system requirements and design clearly to all teams.
• Support planning, reviews and retrospectives; refine features and dependencies.
