Job summary

Synechron seeks a payments-focused technologist to analyse end-to-end card and payment transaction flows, including Visa and Mastercard processing, and to work on fraud detection and remediation platforms.

You will examine ISO 8583 data elements, tokenisation, digital wallets, 3DS workflows, and API integrations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust digital payment solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with card processing and payment platforms.
• Understanding of fraud detection and decisioning systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 8583 payment messages and mappings.
• Knowledge of card tokenisation, digital wallets and 3DS workflows.
• Ability to define API integrations and data mapping between systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyse end-to-end card and payment transaction flows including Visa/Mastercard processing.
• Support fraud detection, tokenisation, and remediation processes.
• Design and troubleshoot data mappings, API payloads and event-driven interfaces.
• Investigate and resolve production issues across distributed applications.
