Job summary

Profusion is seeking an experienced Product Manager with exposure to online payments, digital payments or eCommerce to shape and grow a payments product in the Australian market.

You will own strategy, roadmap and prioritisation, using data to drive decisions, and champion the merchant and customer experience across the payment journey. This contract role in Sydney offers a daily rate and involves cross-functional work with Technology, Risk, Operations, Sales and Customer teams.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3+ years’ experience in product management, ideally across online payments, digital payments, eCommerce, fintech or related space.
• Understanding of how online payments work from checkout through authorisation and settlement.
• Strong product fundamentals across discovery, experimentation, prioritisation, roadmap ownership and stakeholder management.
• Customer-first mindset, using research and data to drive decisions.
• Commercial acumen and ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy, roadmap and prioritisation.
• Use customer insight, data and experimentation to inform decisions.
• Champion the merchant and customer experience across the payment journey.
• Translate commercial opportunities into product outcomes and growth.
• Collaborate across Technology, Risk, Operations, Sales and Customer teams.
• Navigate scheme, PCI and regulatory requirements.
• Measure success metrics such as approval rates, checkout conversion, activation, NPS and revenue.
• Bring digital payments expertise to evolve the product in the Australian market.
