This Technical Designer/Product Developer (Womenswear) role is ideal for someone who loves apparel product development and wants to be involved in every stage of the garment journey, from fit sessions and tech packs through to production approval.
Working alongside experienced Designers, Quality and Production specialists, you'll play a key role in ensuring our womenswear products deliver exceptional fit, quality and durability for customers across Australia.

The role is based at our North Geelong Federal Mills Office, in our custom-designed creative space. You will work with a number of highly experienced industry professionals, so if you are keen to work with and learn from the best, this is the role for you.
Workingcloselywith the designersthe successful applicant will;
develop and complete product tech packs and specifications
assess & measure all incoming fit & PP supplier samples
lead fit sessions
communicate changes, approvals on samples & spec with instructions for next submissions
establish and maintain block fits for key products
advise on garment construction, fit, grading and fabrication
ensure the ensure critical path time-lines are met and any roadblocks identified and resolved.
complete reviews and testing of fabrics, components, patterns and measurements ensuring all products are fit for purpose and meet the RB Sellars quality standards
liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve fabric and style queries, and ensure the accuracy or care labels and information.
You’ll bring experience in some or most of the following:
Garment technology
Technical design
Product development
Pattern making
Apparel quality assurance
Womenswear development
Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel highly regarded and with AS/NZS quality and compliance standards desirable.
Great team player - adaptable and easy to work with
Excellent time management skillsto meet critical path deadlines
Well developed organisational, prioritisation and planning skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong drive and willingness to learn/grow
Strong verbal and written communication skills
