Job summary

CENDRÉ is a Gold Coast-based fashion jewellery and watches brand seeking a Designer to own product development from concept to production. You will work with another designer and the founder, shaping the look and feel across jewellery, watches, accessories and packaging.

The role blends creativity with commercial thinking, considering materials, finishes, MOQs, margins, and production feasibility. The position offers part-time hours on the Gold Coast, with a close-knit team that values

Qualifications

• Experience in product, jewellery, accessories or fashion design.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Designer who wants genuine ownership over the products they create.

Working alongside another Designer and directly with our Founder, you'll play an integral role in shaping how CENDRÉ looks and feels, from our jewellery, watches, accessories through to packaging, PR and beyond.

You'll work across the entire design process, taking ideas from initial concept and sketch through sampling, refinement and final production. You'll work closely with our manufacturers and production team to ensure each design is not only beautiful and true to the CENDRÉ aesthetic, but commercially viable and achievable at scale.

This role combines creativity with commercial thinking. You'll consider materials, finishes and product detailing alongside cost, margins, MOQs, production feasibility and ultimately how products perform once they're in market.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Packaging Design

• Design product across seasonal ranges, from initial concepts and sketches through to final specifications

• Develop jewellery, watches and accessories that feel distinctly CENDRÉ while continuing to evolve the brand

• Design packaging and gifting elements that elevate the customer and brand experience

• Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, including materials, finishes and construction

• Review samples and provide clear feedback to manufacturers throughout the development process

• Approve samples against design intent and quality standards

• Research emerging trends, product opportunities and the competitive landscape

• Maintain organised design files, specifications and reference materials

• Work collaboratively with our other Designer to maintain a cohesive design language across each range

Manufacturing & Production

• Work directly with manufacturers to translate concepts into commercially viable finished products

• Communicate design intent, specifications and amendments clearly throughout sampling and production

• Work with suppliers on MOQs, bulk quantities and production timelines

• Consider cost of goods, margin and production feasibility throughout the design process

• Troubleshoot sampling and production challenges and develop practical solutions

• Build and maintain strong relationships with our manufacturing partners

• Work closely with our production team to keep product development and critical paths on track

Commercial & Brand

• Review sales and sell-through performance to understand how products are performing

• Use commercial insights and customer response to help inform future product and range decisions

• Collaborate with our Marketing team to ensure product design aligns with campaign direction and seasonal storytelling

• Design PR assets, gifting concepts and other creative elements for launches and key brand moments

• Provide the wider team with visibility across upcoming ranges and product direction

About You

We're looking for someone who is highly creative but equally commercially minded. You love beautiful product, but you also understand that successful design needs to work from a manufacturing, margin and customer perspective.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in product, jewellery, accessories or fashion design

• Strong design and conceptual skills with excellent attention to detail

• Experience taking a product from initial concept through sampling and production

• Confidence creating technical specifications and communicating with manufacturers

• A strong understanding of materials, finishes, construction and product quality

• An understanding of cost of goods, margins, MOQs and commercial product development

• The ability to interpret trends without simply following them

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple products and timelines simultaneously

• A collaborative working style and confidence sharing ideas, feedback and creative direction

• A genuine interest in fashion, jewellery, accessories and the wider design landscape

• The ability to balance creativity with commercial performance
