Job summary

RHL Recruitment Australia is seeking a hands-on Product Designer for an award-winning international consumer product design company. The role centers on turning frontend concepts into engineered solutions for high-volume production.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years designing physical products, a degree in a relevant field, and proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks). You will design with DFM in mind and collaborate with teams while coordinating with Asia-based manufacturers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing physical products.
• Degree in Industrial Design or related field (as listed).
• Ability to manage workload and work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of materials characteristics and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to sketch, render, prototype, test and create technical drawings/DFM, plus written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Designing and optimising physical products with a primary focus on Design for Manufacture (DFM)
• Collaborating with the product team to assess feasibility and refine concepts into reliable designs
• Liaising with manufacturing partners in Asia to ensure processes align with design specifications
• Occasional international travel to manufacturers may be required
