Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking a disciplined engineer based in Sydney, NSW, to support the Engineering Program across the full lifecycle. You will work under the Program Manager, develop technical documentation, support reviews, and manage your own tasks to time, cost and quality, while actively contributing to technical discussions and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Hold a technical qualification (certificate or associated degree) in related discipline.
  • Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance.

  • Support delivery of engineering solutions across the Engineering Program throughout the lifecycle.
  • Produce technical documentation and support reviews under guidance.

About The Role

This is a new fulltime opportunity based in Sydney NSW, where you will report directly to the Program Manager.

You will apply developing technical discipline knowledge to support the delivery of engineering solutions across the Engineering Program, contributing to projects throughout the full engineering lifecycle. With guidance, you produce technical documentation, support reviews, manage your own tasks to time, cost and quality, and actively participate in technical discussions and decision‑making.

You will focus on continuous improvement, safety and compliance, contributing to process enhancements, risk assessments and sustainable engineering practices. As part of a growing team, you will build strong working relationships, share knowledge, and integrate the Babcock Principles into your work to strengthen capability across the wider business.

To be successful you will bring :

  • A basic understanding of Engineering Toolsets (eg PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software)
  • Hold a technical qualification (certificate or associated degree) in related discipline.
  • Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence;
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
