Job summary

JING & CO. is seeking a procurement professional to own sourcing of raw materials, packaging and operational consumables, collaborating with Sales, NPD, R&D, Quality, Operations and Warehouse to ensure cost-effective, compliant supply.

You'll lead supplier onboarding, negotiate terms, manage performance, and support new product development with packaging decisions, lead-time assessments and first-article approvals.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in raw material and/or packaging procurement within pharmaceutical, cosmetics, FMCG or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical materials knowledge and the ability to read specifications and technical files.
• A good understanding of GMP, supplier quality requirements and change control.
• Proven negotiation skills, including international sourcing.
• Working knowledge of logistics and import processes.
• Strong commercial sense and a sharp eye for detail in pricing, specs and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle priorities across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and track raw and packaging materials, ensuring specs and quality.
• Source and onboard local and international suppliers; negotiate pricing & MOQs.
• Manage supplier performance on delivery, quality and cost.
• Support new product development with packaging decisions and trials.
• Manage change control: substitutions, specs updates and supplier changes.
• Coordinate with Planning/Warehouse on calls, delivery scheduling and stock levels.
• Coordinate imports with freight forwarders and customs, incl. Incoterms.
• Drive savings via sourcing strategy and benchmarking; support sustainability.

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you'll own the sourcing, purchasing and ongoing management of raw materials, packaging and operational consumables. You'll work closely with Sales, NPD, R&D, Quality, Operations and Warehouse teams to make sure our supply is cost-effective, compliant and reliable, and you'll play a hands-on role in bringing new products to market.

What you'll do

• Purchase and track incoming raw and packaging materials, applying your technical knowledge of specifications and quality standards
• Find, assess and onboard local and international suppliers, and negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times and MOQs
• Manage supplier performance on delivery, quality, responsiveness and cost
• Support new product development with packaging selection, costing, lead-time assessments, samples, trials and first-article approvals
• Manage change control, including material substitutions, specification updates and supplier changes
• Work with Planning and Warehouse on call-ups, delivery scheduling and inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and excess stock
• Coordinate imports with freight forwarders and customs brokers, including Incoterms, shipping and documentation
• Drive savings through sourcing strategy, benchmarking and specification optimisation, and contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability projects
