Job summary

Talison Lithium is seeking a process-oriented procurement professional for a 12-month fixed-term position in Greenbushes, WA. Reporting to the Coordinator Procurement, you will support vendor performance, raise POs, and manage purchasing inquiries to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in a similar role, strong Excel skills, and Year 12 Maths and English. Experience with purchasing systems is preferred, with CIP certificates desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor vendor performance and raise POs to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage shared purchasing mailbox and respond to queries.
• Investigate alternate suppliers to improve cost/quality/reliability.
• Expedite orders as required and liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Provide coverage for Senior Procurement Officer when directed.
• Run MRP and maintain reagents dashboards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator Procurement we are seeking a process-oriented individual with a methodical approach to their work to join our expanding procurement team on a 12 month fixed term basis.

Responsibilities include:

• monitor performance of vendors;
• raise purchase orders as required to ensure orders reach suppliers in a timely manner;
• follow all purchasing queries through to completion;
• manage all emails that come through shared purchasing mailbox;
• investigate alternate suppliers to improve cost/quality/reliability of supply;
• expedite outstanding orders and specific orders as requested by a requisitioner as required;
• liaising with suppliers to procure urgent items as required;
• liaising with internal stakeholders to drive high quality customer service;
• assist with administrative functions as needed;
• provide coverage for Senior Procurement Officer when directed;
• management of reagents and dashboard update; and
• run MRP as scheduled.

About the Candidate:

To be successful in this role you will ideally demonstrate the following:

• 3 + years experience in a similar role, preferably warehousing or supply chain;
• high level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
• year 12 Math and English;
• well-developed interpersonal and communication skills;
• broad experience of purchasing systems;
• ability to expedite;
• a willingness to contribute toward the success of your team while supporting a positive team culture;
• chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Level 2 Certificate procurement and supply operations (minimum) desirable; and
• chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Level 3 Advanced Certificate in procurement and supply operations (desirable).
