Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for AU/NZ to own and shape the regional procurement function across renewable energy, BESS and electrical infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Global Head of Supply Chain, you will lead the regional strategy, build a high-performing AU/NZ team, and collaborate with global support to secure the right suppliers and commercial outcomes.

Job description

At INTEC Energy Solutions, we are powering a sustainable future through the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects across the globe.

With an established presence across Australia and New Zealand and a growing portfolio of renewable energy, BESS and electrical infrastructure projects, we are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager - AU/NZ to take ownership of our regional procurement function and help shape how procurement operates across the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Global Head of Supply Chain, you will lead procurement across Australia and New Zealand, supporting multiple projects and business functions from pre-contract through to project delivery.

You will develop the regional procurement strategy, build and lead the AU/NZ procurement team, strengthen supplier and sourcing strategies, and work closely with our global and Philippines-based procurement support teams.

You will have the opportunity to influence how procurement is structured, governed and delivered across the region while ensuring our projects have the right suppliers, materials, equipment and commercial outcomes to support successful delivery.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Lead the AU/NZ procurement function, developing the regional strategy, operating model, governance and processes to support multiple projects and business functions.
• Build and lead a high-performing procurement team, while leveraging our Philippines-based procurement and shared-services teams to create an efficient regional model.
• Lead strategic sourcing, tendering and high-value negotiations across equipment, materials, services and subcontractors, delivering competitive commercial outcomes.
• Manage commercial and contractual procurement risks, working with Legal, Commercial, Finance, Engineering and Project Delivery to identify key EPC obligations and ensure relevant requirements are appropriately reflected in supplier and subcontractor agreements.
• Strengthen supplier performance and supply chain resilience, while identifying opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance and broader commercial value.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a commercially astute procurement leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels.

You Will Ideally Bring

• 8+ years' procurement experience, including senior responsibility within infrastructure, construction, energy, renewables, engineering or major projects.
• Proven strategic sourcing and commercial capability, including tendering, negotiation, supplier management and the ability to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding, with the ability to identify key EPC obligations and risks and coordinate effectively with Legal, Finance, Engineering and Project teams. Experience with LDs, bonds, payment terms, warranties and back-to-back requirements is highly regarded.
• Experience building and leading procurement teams or functions, ideally within a growing or changing organisation.
• Strong stakeholder and international collaboration skills, with experience working across functions, countries and cultures. Experience with offshore or shared-service teams is advantageous.
