Job summary

C3Talent is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the newly created procurement function in a large Queensland organisation. You will own day-to-day purchasing, build effective supplier relationships and drive value for money across the business.

Working with senior leadership and operational teams, you will design and implement policies, processes and governance, while identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing or contract management, together with sound negotiation skills and an understanding of effective procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities across the business.
• Develop and improve procurement policies, procedures and processes.
• Coordinate tendering, sourcing, supplier selection and contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts and performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and purchasing efficiencies.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant policies and requirements.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs.
• Maintain procurement records, reporting and supplier information.
