Job summary

Skillset is seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our client’s growing business based in Orange, NSW. You will coordinate sourcing activities, manage purchase orders and drive supplier engagement to deliver cost-effective procurement outcomes.

You will report to the Procurement Manager and work with internal stakeholders to improve processes, leverage ERP/CRM systems and explore AI-enabled insights for better decision-making. Strong communication and organisation are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a related commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement concepts, sourcing processes, supplier management and purchasing practices
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience managing purchase orders, quotations, inventory-related activities and supplier agreements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High level of computer literacy and confidence using ERP systems, CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, technology and business processes
  • Exposure to AI tools and an understanding of how technology can support data analysis, process improvement and procurement efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to support business objectives
  • Coordinate sourcing activities, supplier negotiations and procurement projects
  • Create, release and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Review quotations, compare pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support supplier performance reviews and ongoing supplier relationship management
  • Assist with contract administration, supplier agreements and credit applications
  • Maintain accurate procurement, pricing and inventory information within ERP systems
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery outcomes and procurement KPIs
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, systems and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver cost-effective and timely procurement outcomes
  • Utilise technology and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, analysis and decision-making
  • Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Drive procurement outcomes, build key supplier relationships and influence business success
  • Gain exposure to ERP systems, AI tools and innovative procurement practices

Skillset is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Procurement Coordinator to join our client's growing business based in Orange, NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional who thrives on building strong supplier relationships, identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving efficient procurement outcomes. Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will play a key role in supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier performance and operational purchasing activities across the business.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for procurement coordination, supplier engagement, sourcing activities, purchase order management and continuous improvement initiatives.
