Sharp & Carter is hiring a Procurement Coordinator for a not-for-profit social and community organisation in Melbourne. The role focuses on supplier management, sourcing, and coordinating RFQ activities to achieve value-for-money outcomes.

You will develop preferred supplier lists, engage with suppliers and internal teams, and monitor supplier performance while upholding procurement best practices. The role supports a hybrid work arrangement and contributes to social impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, contract administration or a similar business support role.
  • Understanding of procurement principles, value for money, supplier assessment, risk and record keeping.
  • Strong administration, organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Support procurement activities including supplier engagement, sourcing, documentation and maintaining procurement records.
  • Develop and maintain preferred supplier lists and ensure current contact information.
  • Coordinate RFQ and tender activities with the Capital Works team and supplier communications.
  • Review supplier capability and identify gaps in service, coverage, quality or value.
  • Support onboarding, review and replacement of suppliers to meet organisational needs.

We are seeking a Procurement Coordinator to support procurement activities across the organisation, with a focus on supplier management, preferred supplier lists, sourcing and request for quote coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration, communication and coordination skills who enjoys working with suppliers and internal teams to achieve practical, value-for-money outcomes.

About the role
  • Support procurement activities including supplier engagement, sourcing, documentation and maintaining accurate procurement records.
  • Develop and maintain preferred supplier lists, ensuring supplier capability, compliance, coverage and contact information remain current.
  • Coordinate request for quote and tender activities with the Capital Works team, including supplier communication, documentation and response coordination.
  • Review supplier capability and identify new suppliers where there are gaps in service, coverage, quality or value.
  • Support the onboarding, review and replacement of suppliers to ensure they continue to meet organisational needs.
About you
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, contract administration or a similar business support role.
  • Understanding of procurement principles, value for money, supplier assessment, risk and record keeping.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, business administration, contract management or a related field is desirable, although equivalent experience will be considered.
