Job summary

Bluefin Resources is seeking a Procurement Capability & Contract Management Lead in Canberra for a 12-month temporary engagement with hybrid working arrangements. The role reports to the Assistant Manager – Procurement and drives procurement capability, provides expert advice, and improves contract management practices across business areas.

The ideal candidate will lead framework development, design practical training, and offer senior guidance on complex procurement matters, including

Qualifications

Experience across procurement lifecycle and contract management, including complex Commonwealth contracts.
Training and capability development experience.
Ability to translate policy into practical guidance and learning products.
Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Leading the development and implementation of procurement and contract management frameworks, guidance, tools and templates.
Designing and delivering procurement training, including workshops and learning pathways.
Providing senior advice on complex procurement and contract management matters, including value for money and probity.
Acting as a senior escalation point for the Procurement Team during periods of high workload or priority activity.
Identifying capability gaps with business areas and delivering practical solutions to improve outcomes.
Refreshing procurement content, templates, and guidance, and maintaining governance controls.
