Downer's Water Services business is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to join our growing Queensland team. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Advisor, you'll play a critical role in supporting the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' procurement experience supporting capital projects.
• Strong sourcing, subcontracting, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
• Sound knowledge of Australian construction contracts and procurement best practice.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• CIPS accreditation will be highly regarded.

• Support the development and execution of procurement strategies for major infrastructure projects.
• Lead or support sourcing activities, RFQs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, and subcontractor engagement.
• Manage procurement delivery, including expediting materials and mitigating supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with project delivery, commercial teams and procurement hubs to drive value, compliance, and performance.
• Analyse procurement data, monitor market trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Opportunity

Downer's Water Services business is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to join our growing Queensland team. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Advisor, you\'ll play a critical role in supporting the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.

Based primarily from our Qantas Drive (Brisbane Airport) office, with occasional travel to project locations including Duncan Street and Mango Hill, you\'ll work closely with project, commercial, operational and procurement stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, support Target Outturn Cost development, and deliver sourcing and contracting activities that drive strong commercial outcomes.

What We\'re Looking For

• 5+ years' procurement experience supporting capital projects within utilities, infrastructure, construction or resources environments.
• Strong sourcing, subcontracting, supplier negotiation, and contract management experience.
• Sound knowledge of Australian construction contracts and procurement best practice.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline. CIPS accreditation will be highly regarded.
