Job summary

George Weston Foods (GWF) is seeking reliable Process Workers to join the DON production team in Castlemaine on day and afternoon shifts. This full-time role supports production, packaging and quality control in a fast-paced meat product facility with full training and career progression opportunities.

You will work on the production line, assist with packing, operate equipment after training, and adhere to strict food safety and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Process Workers to join our production team on day and afternoon shift. These are full-time positions offering stable, ongoing employment. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment, responsible for supporting the production, packaging and quality control of our products

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting on the production line with packing and preparing products
• Operating equipment (full training provided)
• Working with raw and cooked meat products in a temperature‑controlled environment
• Completing basic manual handling tasks, including lifting and repetitive movements
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets

About You

We’re looking for reliable team players who are ready to learn. To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Be committed to working safely at all times
• Be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with repetitive tasks
• Be able to stand for long periods during your shift
• Be able to regularly lift items between 15‑20kg
• Be comfortable working in chilled temperature rooms
• Be able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
• Work well both independently and as part of a team

You must be available for full‑time hours and able to attend an Assessment Centre, which includes a site tour, interview, and pre‑employment medical with drug and alcohol screening. Full on‑the‑job training is provided

To be eligible for this position, you must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
