Job summary

Freedom Tyres Pty in Carole Park, Qld, is seeking a Process Worker to support the retreading of truck and bus tyres. You will use manual equipment, semi-automatic equipment and hand tools to inspect, test, repair, build and finish retreads to a high standard for delivery to fleets.

Required are reliability, physical fitness, ability to follow procedures, a current driver’s licence with own transport, and prior experience in manufacturing or heavy industry; some overtime will be available.

The Freedom Tyre Group is a large national tyre wholesale & manufacturing company focussed on providing its customers with a range of safe & cost-effective tyre solutions for the truck, bus, passenger car, industrial, mining, forklift & earthmover

Freedom Retreads is the truck & bus tyre retreading division of the group which provides customers with a high-quality, environmentally conscious, whole-of-life tyre solutions for their vehicle fleets.

Freedom Retreads is expanding & we are recruiting Operators for full-time employment with our team based in Carole Park, Qld. The role involves using manual equipment, semi-automated equipment & hand tools to inspect, test, repair, build & finish truck & bus retreads to a high standard for delivery & use on our customer’s fleets.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Reliability & a good work ethic

Physical fitness & a desire to learn new skills

Ability to follow procedures & work effectively in a team environment.

A driver’s licence including your own transport to/from work

Work experience in manufacturing/medium/heavy industry

A capacity to work occasional overtime

Desirable but not essential:

Previous tyre manufacturing / retreading experience

MR manual truck licence

The role is for full-time employment with a competitive hourly rate & penalty rates for overtime. A uniform is provided after a qualifying period.
