Job summary

Solid Plus is seeking a hands-on Labourer – Tyre Service in Dandenong, VIC. You will travel to client sites in a company vehicle, operate tyre press equipment, and perform replacements and maintenance on industrial equipment.

The role is field-based across the region with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and ongoing development within a national tyre organisation. A valid MR licence (and forklift licence) are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded with hands-on experience in tyre fitting or related fields.
• Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently while on the road and at client sites.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.

What you’ll be doing

• Travelling to customer sites in a company vehicle
• Operating press equipment for solid tyre fitting and servicing
• Carrying out tyre replacement, maintenance, and repairs on industrial equipment
• Working autonomously to manage your daily service schedule
• Delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

Why you would be successful

• A mechanically minded approach with hands-on experience in tyre fitting or a similar field (automotive, commercial or industrial)
• Strong work ethic with a reliable and self-motivated attitude
• Ability to manage your time effectively and work independently on the road
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including manual handling
• Willingness to travel for work, including occasional overnight stays (1–2 nights per month)
• Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with customers
• Commitment to maintaining a high standard of health and safety in the workplace
• Current MR truck licence (essential)
• Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain
• Physically fit and capable of meeting the inherent requirements of the role
