Job summary

Jobplay in East Brisbane is seeking process workers and cleaners for a seafood processing facility. You will work on the processing and packing line performing grading, weighing, packing and labeling, and you will also maintain cleanliness across equipment, benches, floors and work areas.

The role is casual, ongoing with consistent day shifts from 7am to 3pm, with all PPE provided and on-site training plus food safety induction.

Qualifications

• Reliability is essential: arrive on time for every shift.
• Comfortable working in cold and wet conditions (~2°C).
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 20 kg.
• Ability to follow processes and take direction.
• Full working rights in Australia and access to reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Operate on processing and packing line: grading, weighing, packing, and labeling.
• Clean and sanitise equipment, benches, floors and work areas.
• Conduct wash-downs at end of run and move product in/out of chillers and freezers.
• Record keeping: cleaning checklists and temperature records.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures.

Job description

We're looking for process workers and cleaners for a seafood processing facility in East Brisbane.

$33 per hour [+ penalties where applicable]. Casual, ongoing, with consistent hours for people who turn up and do the job properly.

What you'll be doing

• Working on the processing and packing line - grading, weighing, packing and labelling
• Cleaning and sanitising equipment, benches, floors and work areas
• Wash-downs at the end of the run
• Moving product in and out of chillers and freezers
• Removing waste and keeping walkways clear
• Basic paperwork - cleaning checklists and temperature records
• Following food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures

What we need from you

• Reliability - turn up, on time, every shift. This is the whole job.
• Comfortable working in cold and wet conditions (chillers ~2°C)
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 20kg
• Happy to follow a process and take direction
• Full working rights in Australia
• Access to reliable transport

Previous factory, food processing, kitchen or commercial cleaning experience is a bonus, but not required.
