Job summary

Westpac is seeking an experienced Private Banker or Senior Private Banker to join our Private Bank in Sydney. You will work with high-value clients, building trusted relationships and delivering tailored banking solutions to help them achieve their financial goals.

The role offers progression from Level 4 to Level 5 based on experience, with a supportive team and flexible development opportunities. Ideal candidates have strong relationship management and lending skills, knowledge of credit

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships, ideally with High-Net-Worth clients.
• Strong lending capability across consumer lending; business or commercial lending experience is highly regarded.
• Sound understanding of credit policy and strong credit judgement.
• RG146 Tier 1 and Tier 2 certification, or willingness to obtain and build wealth knowledge.
• Mandarin or Cantonese language proficiency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with high-value clients and deliver tailored banking solutions.
• Collaborate with the Private Bank team to deepen client relationships and expand wealth management coverage.
• Manage credit risk and respond to client needs with appropriate lending and advisory support.

What’s the role?

You'll join Private Bank on a permanent basis, based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country. We're looking for an experienced Private Banker to join our team. This opportunity may be appointed at either Private Banker (Level 4) or Senior Private Banker (Level 5) level, depending on your experience, capability and demonstrated expertise in private banking and relationship management.

You'll work closely with high value clients, building trusted relationships and delivering tailored banking solutions that help them achieve their financial goals. Whether you're an established Private Banker ready to deepen your impact or a Senior Private Banker looking to bring extensive expertise to a high performing team, we'd love to hear from you.

What do I need?
