Job summary

Austcorp Executive is seeking a Principal Water Engineer to lead the water resources team in West Perth, with opportunities to travel to sites across Australia. The role involves providing technical direction, developing hydraulic models, and overseeing piping and pumping infrastructure design.

The candidate should have a relevant degree in mechanical engineering or similar, water engineering experience in mining, energy or utilities, and advanced PumpSim/waterGEMs skills, with a proven track

• A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Water Engineering experience - mining, energy, utilities preferred
• Advanced skills in PumpSim modelling package, waterGEMs or similar package
• A proven track record leading teams and projects from concept to handover

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership and technical direction to the water resources team and subcontractors
• Produce hydraulic models for water pumping/ piping infrastructure
• Pump selection, pipe selection, and mechanical system design
• Detailed water infrastructure design experience
• Developing and maintaining engineering processes and procedures
• Managing the delivery of the Technical Assurance functions, including quality assurance, audit, analysis, corrective action, reporting and lessons learnt
• Providing leadership and assistance to programs and projects on an as-required basis including technical advice and direction and sourcing internal or external expertise as required
• Assisting engineers and technical personnel with professional development and achieving qualifications
• Working closely with management to develop new work streams and overarching business strategies

We are looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic Principal Water Engineer to join our water engineering team based in West Perth, with the opportunity to travel to sites throughout Australia.
