Job summary

Tonkin is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Structural team in Sydney CBD. You will provide expert technical leadership, drive delivery on complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships while contributing to the growth of Tonkin's technical capability.

You will mentor engineers and graduates, oversee safety, quality, and project standards, and leverage your network to win work for Tonkin.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is required.
• CPEng status or equivalent recognition is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience leading structural teams on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead large multidisciplinary project teams across complex structural projects.
• Own project scope, deliverables, budgets, timelines and quality.
• Manage client relationships and seek new work opportunities.
• Oversee project financials, invoicing and WIP management.
• Ensure compliance with Tonkin processes and standards.
