You'll shape platforms and tooling used by engineers, drive automation, security and reliability, and mentor others while balancing architectural trade-offs for sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on software engineering experience with platforms and tooling for engineers.
• Experience building engineering platforms and tooling consumed at scale.
• Strong knowledge of modern CI/CD and software delivery practices.
• Experience integrating tooling with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of secure software delivery practices and compliance.
• Ability to operate across technical boundaries and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across software platforms and developer tooling.
• Design and evolve scalable capabilities for engineers to develop and deliver.
• Advance CI/CD and tooling across source control, automation and testing.
• Build automated delivery tooling to move code to production safely.
• Collaborate across CommBank to develop enterprise-scale solutions.
• Apply engineering judgement on architecture, automation, reliability and security.
• Resolve complex problems and balance trade-offs for sustainable solutions.
• Mentor and lift engineering capability through pragmatic leadership.
• You’re an accomplished engineer who has built platforms for others at scale.
