Job summary

William Buck is seeking a Principal or Partner to join our Business Advisory team in Sydney. You will lead a substantial portfolio of clients, drive strategy, and contribute to the firm’s growth while mentoring the next generation of leaders.

With CA/CPA credentials and 10+ years in public practice, you will excel at business development, stakeholder management, and delivering high-value advisory engagements across diverse industries. A collaborative, flexible culture awaits.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 10+ years' experience in public practice accounting.
• Significant experience leading client portfolios and advisory engagements.
• Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth.
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities.
• Existing professional networks and referral relationships that support ongoing business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a portfolio of business advisory clients across a range of industries.
• Provide strategic and commercial advice to business owners, executives, and stakeholders.
• Drive business development and identify opportunities for growth across existing and prospective clients.
• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key clients and referral networks.
• Lead complex advisory engagements, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop directors, managers, and emerging leaders within the firm.
• Contribute to the firm's strategic planning, governance, and operational leadership.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Represent the firm within the business community and professional networks.
