Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior finance professional in Australia to lead mining advisory engagements, delivering financial, commercial, and technical assessments across studies, lender engagements, due diligence, and investment evaluations.

You will build trusted client relationships, chair multidisciplinary teams, and communicate complex insights to executives, mentoring consultants while supporting business growth through proposals and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline.
• CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Extensive experience in senior finance, commercial, management accounting, or advisory roles within mining sector.

• Deliver financial, commercial, and technical assessments across mining studies, lender advisory engagements, due diligence reviews, and investment evaluations
• Lead and contribute to advisory projects within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Communicate complex information across technical, operational, and executive audiences
• Prepare, review, and present reports and recommendations supporting financing, investment approval, and project development decisions
• Support business growth through client relationship management, proposal development, tender submissions, and identification of new opportunities
• Mentor consultants and emerging professionals
• Contribute to technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
• CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accreditation
• Extensive experience in senior finance, commercial, management accounting, project controls, or advisory roles within the mining sector
• Experience supporting mining operations, operational leadership teams, or major mining projects
• Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cost management, business planning, investment evaluation, and financial modelling
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring colleagues
• Experience delivering complex advisory, due diligence, studies, or major project engagements
• Unrestricted Australian work rights
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
