Job summary

Micromine Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Principal Mining Engineer to act as the technical expert behind Micromine Advance, our advanced underground mine planning and scheduling solution. You will build demonstration models, develop production schedules and lead software evaluations for customers.

You will engage with customers and commercial teams, delivering technical demonstrations and influencing stakeholders across Australia and beyond. Hybrid Brisbane-based role with global exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Mining Engineering.
• Significant underground hard rock mining experience, ideally within planning, scheduling or production engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of underground mine planning, scheduling, production forecasting and operational constraints.
• Experience with mine planning and scheduling software such as Micromine Advance, Deswik, Spry, EPS, MineRP or similar platforms.
• Ability to engage and influence both technical and operational stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Previous experience in technical consulting, customer-facing or pre-sales roles will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging demonstrations of Micromine Advance to prospective and existing customers.
• Build underground mining models and planning scenarios to support evaluations and proof-of-concepts.
• Partner with the wider team to support software consulting opportunities and customer engagements.
• Demonstrate the value of advanced scheduling, forecasting and scenario analysis to mining stakeholders.
• Provide trusted technical guidance to customers throughout their evaluation and adoption journey.
