Job summary

Erm in Perth seeks a committed Principal or Director Mining Engineer to provide open pit technical and project management expertise. You will lead studies from concept through to feasibility, manage budgets, and report Ore Reserve estimations per international codes.

The role requires strong business development capabilities, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and thorough understanding of JORC/Ni 43-101 reporting standards. Australian work rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
• Member AusIMM or similar organisation.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Open pit mining experience preferred.
• Experience with Deswik or Datamine and Whittle for mine planning.

Responsibilities

• Project Manager for technical studies from concept to feasibility within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Source opportunities through your business network to grow the project pipeline.
• Provide technical input on mine optimisation, design, scheduling, cost estimation and operations support.
• Deliver high-quality professional reports and conduct peer reviews.
• Manage contractors to ensure scope, quality and timeliness are met.
• Maintain and grow your professional network to identify job opportunities.
• Sign-off Ore Reserve estimation and reporting per JORC or CIM/NI 43-101 as applicable.
• Ensure studies are delivered on time and within budget; monitor project performance.
• Demonstrate understanding of client requirements.
