Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the Building Services team on national Defence, buildings and infrastructure projects. You will shape technical strategy, drive engineering excellence and deliver innovative solutions from concept to detailed design.

You will mentor engineers, manage complex technical challenges, build trusted client relationships and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, safe and commercially sound outcomes across engagements nationwide.

Qualifications

Extensive mechanical building services design experience in Australia.
Able to lead engineering teams to deliver complex projects.
Provide technical leadership, design reviews and mentoring.
Strong client-facing skills with stakeholder relationships.
Chartered Engineer status or pursuing Chartership.
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
Australian citizenship due to Defence projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical engineering discipline across projects from concept to delivery.
Provide design leadership, technical direction and QA.
Mentor engineers and designers across the team.
Develop client relationships and manage stakeholders.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and project managers.
