Job summary

Enemi Oy in Cairns is seeking a Principal Engineer – Maritime Systems to lead the CA42 Army Marine capability, onsite at HMAS Cairns. NV1 security clearance is required.

You will perform design acceptance and technical certification, maintain the AEO status, review safety documents, mentor engineers and liaise with Army and external stakeholders.

Contract is 7 months, 8 hours per day, with flexible working arrangements based on merit. Chartered engineers welcomed.

Qualifications

• Senior engineering level required; advanced practitioner.
• Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Experience with defence projects and ITAR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CA42 Army Marine AEO status and oversee safety compliance.
• Perform design acceptance and technical certification for changes.
• Provide engineering leadership and mentorship to CA42 staff.
• Liaise with Army, internal units and external stakeholders.
