Job summary

Indigitise in Cairns, Australia seeks a Principal Engineer contractor to manage AEO compliance for CA42 Army Marine capability and lead safety documentation. The role includes designation of Technical Authority, engineering change certification, and support to internal and external assurance bodies in a complex defense environment.

The successful candidate will review safety plans, endorse critical technical documents, mentor engineers, and liaise across Army programs and assurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree recognized under Washington Accord.
• Experience in engineering change certification and safety documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AEO for CA42 Army Marine capability aligned with safety manuals.
• Perform surveillance to maintain AEO status and support external assurance.
• Assign Technical Authority to CA42 staff across departments.
• Lead design acceptance and technical certification for engineering changes.
• Review and endorse safety documents (SEMP, TCP, SCRs, specs).
• Advise on RODUM reports and safety-related actions.
• Participate in governance forums (CCBs, safety groups).
• Provide leadership and mentorship to CA42 AEO engineers.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including Army and assurance bodies.
