BHP in Adelaide is seeking a capable logistics professional to join the Copper SA Warehouse & Logistics team as Principal Logistics Optimisation. Our South Australian operations consist of three primary mine assets, containing some of the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold and uranium; Carrapateena is one of the largest mining projects in the state in the last 10 years, Olympic Dam is a globally renowned deposit with nearly 700km of underground roads and tunnels, and Prominent Hill produces one of the highest grades of Copper in the world. Beyond this at Oak Dam exploration undertaken to date has indicated the presence of high-grade copper and associated minerals. The plan is clear and the future is bright in BHP South Australia’s Copper Province.
An exciting opportunity exists for a capable and motivated logistics professional to join the Copper SA Warehouse & Logistics team as Principal Logistics Optimisation. This newly established role has been created to strengthen strategic capability across the Copper SA logistics network and support the continued evolution of the Warehouse & Logistics function following asset integration and logistics transformation activities, playing a key role in shaping the future of logistics across Copper SA. Reporting to the Manager Warehouse & Logistics Copper SA, the role is designed to provide dedicated leadership to future-state planning, logistics transformation, commercial optimisation and complex stakeholder engagement activities.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract position located in the BHP Adelaide office on a 5/2 Monday to Friday roster, with regular site travel as required.
