Job summary

We are seeking Processing Technicians to join BHP's Copper South Australia Team at Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill and Carrapateena sites. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will contribute to daily operations, supporting safe and efficient performance across multiple processing areas.

Roles span various sites and shift rosters, with permanent and fixed-term opportunities commencing in 2026–2027. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply and learn new skills while being part of

• No mining experience required; keen to learn new skills and be part of a high performing, collaborative team.

About The Role

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from applicants who are interested to join our talented Copper South Australia Team as a Processing Technician at one of our following sites, Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill and Carrapateena. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for contributing to the day-to-day operations of achieving department targets in a safe and efficient manner. Please note we have multiple roles available to commence throughout 2026 and 2027. The opportunities will sit within the areas below.

• Acid Plant /Feed Prep
• Smelter
• Hydromet
• Concentrator
• Tailings Retention System
• Labs
• Refinery
• Electrowinning/ Gold Room
• Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF) Plant
• Water Operations
• Core Processing

In This Role You Will

• Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplace.
• Work a day shift and night shift rotation roster - 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster OR 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off.

To be considered for these positions it is not considered essential to have prior experience within the Mining industry. We are seeking applications from individuals who are keen to learn new skills, have a proactive attitude and willing to be part of a high performing, collaborative team.

Please note there are both permanent and fixed term roles available, operating on a day shift and night shift rotation roster.
