Job summary

Halcyon Knights is seeking a Principal Identity Architect in South Australia. The role sits between hands-on delivery and leadership, owning complex identity designs for clients and guiding the practice's growth.

You will lead the technical support team, shape architecture documentation, and advocate for the best IAM/PAM/IGA outcomes across engagements, while partnering with clients and vendors to drive success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in identity, security or infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Ping, Saviynt, Delinea, CyberArk or Okta.
• Experience across access management, PAM and IGA.
• Strong recent experience with Entra ID, AAD Connect and M365.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver IAM, PAM and IGA solutions from strategy to deployment.
• Serve as the trusted technical voice for clients and explain complex ideas clearly.
• Lead and mentor the support team, including training plans and performance reviews.
• Write documents that win work: designs, architecture, options analysis and tender responses.
• Evaluate new technologies alongside key vendors.

Our client is a specialist security consultancy. IAM, PAM and identity governance is their bread and butter, and they're growing quickly with clients across Australia.

They're looking for a senior/principal architect who sits between hands-on delivery and leadership: owning complex identity designs for clients, leading the technical support team and helping shape how the practice grows.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and delivering IAM, PAM and IGA solutions for a range of clients, from strategy and architecture through to configuration, testing and deployment
• Being the trusted technical voice for client stakeholders and explaining complex ideas clearly
• Leading and developing the support team, including work allocation, training plans and performance reviews
• Writing the documents that win and land work: designs, architecture, options analysis and tender responses
• Evaluating new technologies alongside key vendors

Must Have

• 7+ years in identity, security or infrastructure
• hands-on experience with at least one of these: Entra ID, Ping, Saviynt, Delinea,CyberArk, Okta
• Hands-on experience across access management, PAM and IGA
• Strong recent experience with, Entra ID, AAD Connect and M365 experience
• Integration experience with systems like HCM or HRIS systems, alongside SIEM or SCIM
• previous client-facing experience, with a strong track record of written design documentation
• Experience leading and mentoring a team
