Job summary

PCR Talent is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineering leader for a Principal/Associate Director role in Sydney. This senior position offers breadth across major infrastructure, tunnelling, roads, rail and buildings with scope for leadership, project direction and business development.

The role targets individuals with strong client relationships, commercial awareness and mentoring capabilities to drive major projects and grow the geotechnical business across NSW and beyond.

Principal / Associate Director - Geotechnical Engineering

• Salary $240-220k depending on extent of your local experience.

This is a genuine senior-level opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer who wants more than simply another technical position.

A major international engineering consultancy is continuing to strengthen its Sydney geotechnical capability and is interested in speaking with senior people at Principal, Associate Director and Project Director level.

The attraction here is the breadth and scale of the work. You will have the opportunity to become involved in major infrastructure and complex engineering projects across transport, tunnelling, roads, rail, buildings and other significant developments throughout NSW and nationally.

Depending on your strengths, the position can encompass technical leadership, project direction, client management, team development, business development or a combination of these.

They are particularly interested in people who can offer some of the following:

• Strong geotechnical consulting experience within the Australian market
• Major infrastructure, transport, tunnelling or complex ground engineering experience
• Technical leadership across geotechnical design, investigations and ground engineering
• Experience leading significant multidisciplinary projects and project teams
• Strong client relationships and the ability to develop further work
• Commercial awareness including proposals, budgets, risk and project performance
• Mentoring and development of engineers and technical staff
• The credibility to operate with major government, contractor and private-sector clients
