Job summary
AECOM in Perth is seeking a Principal Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design across major building and infrastructure projects, combining hands-on delivery with leadership responsibilities. You will engage with clients, mentor teams and ensure compliance with NCC and standards.
Based in Perth with hybrid work options, you’ll influence discipline strategy while collaborating across mechanical, electrical, structural and specialist engineers to deliver integrated solutions for
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in Fire Protection/Services Engineering.
- Experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong technical capability across fire suppression systems and EWIS.
- Ability to manage client relationships and bid leadership.
- Professional accreditation (NER, RPEQ or FPAS) or eligibility.
- Experience using Hyena, Revizto, Revit or AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Lead fire protection design and delivery across complex projects.
- Provide high-level technical input across wet and dry fire protection systems.
- Oversee design compliance with NCC and relevant standards.
- Act as a key client interface and support business development.
- Mentor engineers and foster technical capability.
- Coordinate with mechanical/electrical/structural teams to deliver integrated solutions.
