Job summary

HRG is expanding its NSW planning and environmental practice, seeking an experienced environmental planner to lead across transport, energy, utilities and major infrastructure projects. You’ll join an established national consultancy with a strong NSW team and multidisciplinary capability.

The role blends senior technical work with broader influence on client relationships, approvals strategy, major pursuits and development of the NSW practice.

Qualifications

• Experienced environmental planner with a track record in NSW transport/major infrastructure approvals.
• Strong understanding of EIS, REF and SSI pathways.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Experience contributing to bids, proposals and repeat business.
• Relevant qualifications in environmental planning, environmental science or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and approvals for transport and major infrastructure projects.
• Develop approvals strategies and advise on planning pathways and risks.
• Provide senior technical oversight across EIS/REF/SSI and other NSW pathways.
• Mentor junior team members and strengthen NSW capability.
• Contribute to proposals, tenders and growth of the NSW practice.
