Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering, Chartered or Professional status highly regarded
• Extensive experience designing secondary systems for high-voltage transmission substations
• Experience leading and managing complex secondary system design projects across HV and renewable energy sectors
• Strong end-to-end experience delivering transmission and distribution substation projects from concept to commissioning
• Extensive knowledge of power system philosophies, industry requirements, client specifications and relevant Australian Standards
• Ability to act as a technical authority, resolve complex engineering challenges and provide guidance across multidisciplinary teams
• Genuine interest in mentoring and developing graduate and junior engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build client relationships
• Experience within an Australian transmission or distribution utility or renewable grid connections in Australia is highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership on HV substation projects
• Lead complex secondary design outcomes for HV renewable energy projects
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers
• Contribute to development of engineering capability across the Adelaide CPP team
• Remain involved in design while supporting the broader team
