Job summary

Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) invites applications for a Principal EC&I Engineer (Project Management) to lead Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Stay-in-Business projects across AGIG assets in Australia. The role provides technical leadership through the project lifecycle, ensuring safe delivery, operational compliance and asset integrity.

The position reports to the project/PMO framework with broad collaboration across maintenance teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of EC&I SIB projects from concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Provide technical oversight of electrical and control system designs, ensuring compliance with standards, safety requirements, and asset integrity obligations.
  • Collaborate with PMO, maintenance teams, and vendors to achieve project outcomes, operational requirements, and business objectives.
  • Support project execution by providing engineering guidance, resolving technical issues, and driving quality assurance activities.
  • Manage project governance, budgets, forecasts, and Management of Change (MoC) requirements to ensure successful project delivery.

About the opportunity

AGIG is seeking a Principal EC&I Engineer (Project Management) to lead the delivery of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Stay-in-Business (SIB) projects across AGIG assets. This senior role will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are safely delivered, meet operational requirements, and comply with engineering standards, asset integrity, and regulatory obligations.
