Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary infrastructure, development, transport and water projects.

Build strong relationships with clients, authorities and project partners, representing Mott MacDonald in technical discussions and meetings.

Support tenders, proposals and business development activities to contribute to the growth and direction of the team.

Mentor and develop junior engineers and modellers, helping to strengthen capability within the NSW and national water teams.

About you

As an experienced flood, drainage or water resources engineer, you will bring strong technical capability, consulting experience and the confidence to lead project delivery within a multidisciplinary environment. You’ll be comfortable working with clients and authorities, guiding technical outcomes and supporting the growth of our Sydney-based water resources capability. Significant experience delivering flood modelling, stormwater drainage, hydrology and hydraulic design projects within a consulting or infrastructure environment.

Strong experience with flood modelling and drainage design tools such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, 12d, HEC-RAS, MUSIC or similar software.

Experience preparing flood impact assessments, stormwater management plans, drainage strategies, technical reports and design documentation.

Strong understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff, NSW floodplain management requirements, council guidelines and relevant Australian standards.

Experience working across transport, urban development, utilities, precincts, land development or major infrastructure projects.

Proven ability to lead technical delivery, manage project interfaces and coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams.

Strong client-facing capability, including the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and confidently.

Experience in consulting, including preparing client-ready deliverables and supporting proposals or bids.
