Job summary

The Department of Education, Western Australia invites applications for a fixed-term, full-time Principal Consultant, Publications and Communication to support the Executive Director in leading strategic communication initiatives. You will manage a team across the directorate, deliver communication campaigns, and ensure alignment with priorities, providing ministerial advice as needed.

Qualifications

• Duties include preparing Cabinet submissions, Ministerial briefing notes, speech notes, reports and correspondence.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with key senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor staff to deliver communication priorities and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate strategic communication strategies and campaigns across the directorate.
• Manage a team to deliver cross functional projects and ensure value for money in communication activities.
• Provide robust communication advice to ministers and senior leaders and translate ministerial priorities into measurable objectives.
