Job summary

Lab3 Pty Ltd, a leading Azure engineering partner in Australasia, seeks a Principal Engineer to shape Cloud Self-Service Delivery (IDP/DevEx). Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this contract role spans 6 months, focusing on automated onboarding, provisioning and governance acrossDevOps, security and platform teams.

You will lead, design, build and troubleshoot automated cloud enablement patterns in a regulated environment, aligning multiple pipelines and tooling to accelerate internal consumer

Qualifications

• Senior, hands-on technologist with strategic view of service activation and platform integration.
• Experience delivering automated cloud resources and self-service tech to internal users.
• Strong knowledge of Azure; GCP/AWS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enablement and integration of cloud services across DevOps, security, identity and governance.
• Design and improve automated cloud onboarding and provisioning services.
• Connect development toolsets and delivery pipelines for a seamless self-service experience.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues with a strategic view of the service ecosystem.
• Shape secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-enablement patterns for regulated environments.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, identity and platform teams to align solutions.
• Provide principal-level technical leadership while remaining hands-on with engineering.
