Job summary

RMS in Melbourne seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to own the cloud estate across four regions, shaping architecture, performance and resilience. You will drive cost reduction and automate monitoring and incident response while mentoring junior engineers and aligning with AI/Data and software teams.

This role operates within RMS's flexible Metro-Anchored framework with remote work options and occasional on-site collaboration in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in infrastructure, site reliability or platform engineering.
• Hands-on AWS experience, networking, ideally with Kubernetes and Aurora or RDS PostgreSQL.
• Track record of automating alerting, monitoring and incident response.
• Comfort being on call: 24/7 roster with a short response time.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, performance and resilience of cloud infrastructure across four regions.
• Reduce cloud cost and consolidate AWS and Azure, trimming waste.
• Automate monitoring, alerting and incident response to cut on-call load.
• Mentor junior engineers and allocate their work for knowledge sharing.
• Review production changes and manage infrastructure risk.
