Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and communicating progress to students and parents.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to establish collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the wider school community.
• Behaviours and attitudes aligned with Department values; commitment to continual professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes and engage learners.
• Contribute to school policies, priorities and the overall learning program.
• Support student learning, wellbeing and engagement within the school community.
• Mentor and supervise student teachers and teacher observers where appropriate.
• Use data to inform teaching approaches and provide feedback on student progress.
