Job summary

Chinchilla Christian College in Chinchilla, Queensland, invites applications for a full-time Primary Teacher, commencing Term 1, January 2027. You will join a supportive team, with regular devotions and a strong community ethos, delivering Biblically-based core curriculum and contributing to co-curricular activities.

The remuneration package is circa $90,379 – $129,751 per annum, plus super, based on experience. Relocation assistance, a laptop/workstation, and salary sacrificing are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Graduate Diploma if you hold a Bachelor in a different field.
• Be a qualified teacher with QLD College of Teacher’s Registration (QCT) or able to obtain QCT Registration.
• Support the College’s mission, aims and values.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to teach from a Biblical perspective.
• Contribute to co-curricular activities.
• Lead student learning confidently in a productive classroom environment.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
• Hold current Australian work authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide key classroom instruction to Primary students.
• Lead and participate in co-curricular activities.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver a Christ-centred education.
• Manage classroom organisation and student progress.
• Support the school’s mission and values in daily practice.

Qualities, Qualifications, Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for Primary teaching.

You will be required to:

• Provide a current Christian church leader as a referee,
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or Graduate Diploma if you hold a Bachelor in a different field,
• Be a qualified teacher with QLD College of Teacher’s Registration (QCT) or have the ability to obtain QCT Registration,
• Support the College’s mission, aims and values,
• Have a strong knowledge of the curriculum and be able to teach it from a Biblical perspective,
• Contribute to co-curricular activities,
• Confidently lead student learning within a productive classroom environment,
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills, with an ability to effectively prioritise,
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills,
• Hold current Australian work authorisation.
